LILAMA 69-3: Success in slump time

To supply locally made equipment that could upgrade domestic cement production lines without the need for foreign imports, LILAMA 69-3 makes a wide variety of equipment for cement plants.

Cement plant repair and maintenance accounts for 25 percents of the company's total revenue in 2009. LILAMA 69-3 has gotten together with the FL-Smith Group to establish a Cement project management consultancy joint stock company and also with another German company to set up a Refractory material production joint stock company. Furthermore, the company has established an export-oriented design center and a cement project management complex.

In addition, it continues to expand its export market for equipment and steel structures, which accounts for 10 percent of the company's annual revenue. The company works with FL-Smith to manufacture steel frames for conveyor belts to be used by a gold ore screening factory in Papua Guinea and signed another EUR 1.2 million contract to export equipment to Jordan.

The company also made and installed equipment for the Song Thao Cement Plant, the third production line of the Hoang Thach Cement Plant, the Thanh Liem Cement Plant and the Ha Long Cement Plant,... It also involved in ministerial and State research projects, regarding stainless steel casting, the manufacture of vertical grinding machines for cement plants, valves for 600MW coal-burning thermoelectric plants and large fans for cement and thermoelectric projects.

In 2008 the company registered 16 industrial patents with the Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology./.
